Review on Bit set DeWALT DT7969-QZ, 32 pcs. by Mateusz Komorowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

Quite a good set of bits, in my opinion, quite high quality. The case in which they are stored makes it possible to easily remove them, but this results in a small minus, if the bit is not fixed well enough in the case, then when the case is turned over, the bit may fall out. I checked the case when all the bits were fixed well, turned the open case over and shook it up and down, in the same position patted the bottom of the case, but the bits did not fall out. Of course the case is still new, only time will tell how well it will hold beats in the future. The clip on the case, for me personally, is a moot point. Firstly, the case itself rotates well on this clip, despite the fact that during rotation, clicks of the "lock" of the position of this clip are felt, and there are, apparently, as many as 8 of them, i. E. Hang at least diagonally. Secondly, all parts of the case are made of plastic, the question is how reliable is this clip and when will the case fall off of it? Of course, I don’t want to check this moment, and I’m not going to hang the case anywhere. Bit holder. Here I conducted a number of tests and I can conclude that the curvature is not so simple. I used three positions for fixing the bit holder in the cartridge, and so, with a full and medium immersion of the tail into the cartridge, there is no runout, but if you insert the very minimum (about 7-8 mm), then the runout, as it may be, may be practically absent. For comparison with the usual magnetic bit holder from the Stayer kit, it proved to be disgusting in all tests and I could not get rid of a noticeable beating. I made the following conclusion: fix the bit holder by immersing at least half of the tail into the cartridge, otherwise, "play" with the position of the holder in the cartridge at the moment of its fixation. For tests, I used a keyless chuck (STANLEY STDC18LHBK screwdriver). So draw conclusions based on what is described. As a beginner, I can give a 5-star rating, subject to an attractive price, but if I were a professional, I think that I didn’t put it higher than a four.

Pros
  • - Nice case - Pretty good selection of beats - Bit holder included - Ability to easily remove bits with your hands
Cons
  • - Price (I took it for 750 at the end of 2022), 2022, in my humble opinion, this is of course too much for this kit - A clip on the case, you can hang it on a belt and rotate the case like a propeller, and you see it will fall off.
