Detailed overview of different types of mobile phone holders. I've tried several of these over the years in search of the perfect car mount. I've tried several magnetic car mounts sold at Revain. The Vano was decent, but in my opinion the Spigen was a much better buy. However, in some Spigen reviews, some buyers have complained that Spigen's magnet isn't strong enough for their heavy phone. I was a little shocked. Some competitors must write bad reviews I thought. I have a Note 5 with a very heavy spare battery (it's really heavy) and the Spigen is more than strong enough to hold it while driving. I use a light body, that might be a factor for these buyers. But I can tell you that Spigen is more than strong enough to hold very heavy phones. In fact, the Spigen is MUCH stronger than the Vano. I would say that Spigen is more than twice as powerful! So if they thought Spigen was too weak, Vano definitely wouldn't suit them. So it was strange that Wano received much higher ratings. Is it just statistical volatility? Bought reviews. I bought 2 of these and they were strong. But wait! I bought two more for my parents. Both were much weaker. You could say. Now I understand. There is actually a lot of variability in the product itself. I bought two more and found one to be strong and the other to be weak. So it's really random which magnets you get. Should I buy about 1000 and figure out the percentage of strong to bad? If I got paid for it, damn yes, but that's all I can say. I haven't checked Vano if they have stronger magnets if you bought extra ones. I just don't have the time. I wish I could, just to be honest, but oh well. But also remember that not only did I like Spigen as a powerful magnet, I liked her too. What made Spigen so much better was not just a STRONG MAGNET, but they included TWO magnets with an adhesive backing AND two scratch-resistant foil covers. In fact, no other seller has provided so many accessories. Although it only costs a few cents, it is really very useful. There's nothing wrong with that, but the magnetic car mount turned out to be much more convenient. At first I was afraid that the magnet wasn't strong enough or that it would lose its strength over time, but it didn't come to that. And I found using a magnet to be much more convenient. It doesn't seem like a big deal to tighten and loosen the car mount clips in the link above, but why waste a few extra seconds when you don't have to? In addition to the suction cup, there is also an adhesive on it that really prevents the mount from coming loose. When you put it on for the first time, it will NEVER come off. It leaves no residue but has suction and a sticky substance that creates the strongest bond I've ever seen. The only problem is that sometimes you want to take it off for one reason or another. And as soon as you peel it off, the glue starts to lose its stickiness. I also tried the famous Pro Clip. Google it and find it. This mount doesn't use screws, but attaches securely by grabbing onto corners and small gaps. I originally bought it because I was concerned that the vent mounting knobs would not be strong enough (I later found that the vents were more than strong enough). However, ProClip is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. But I didn't want to put holes in my car, so I gave it a try. The ProClip is actually pretty good, but the mount can't hold extended batteries other than Ottie, so I returned it. They give high scores that completely skew the Revain rating system.
