No broken butt for my opinion

I'm in roller derby and I really wanted to find some butt protection shorts before I fell wrong and broke my butt. I got these to try out because the price was right and they turned out better than I expected. I usually wear a size 12/14 (with a lot of junk in the trunk) and I ordered a size 3xl. They are made of a thin very stretchy, jersey shirt kind of fabric which is cool because it doesn't get too hot. I probably could've ordered a size smaller but I wear them over my clothes so I like that I have room to put them on over my skates when it's about to go down and remove them when we've moved on to endurance. I have taken a few falls on these and they absolutely do what they are supposed to.

Pros

I am a chubby 64-year-old woman learning to ice skate and was very concerned about falling and breaking a hip. Bought these last week in hopes that they would cushion any falls. Sure enough, my grandson smacked right into me and sent me down hard on the ice yesterday! I could actually feel the padding absorb the shock on my hip and I was so so happy that I bought these and was wearing them! They are stretchy and easy to put on and take off over my bottom layer. I have not tried to wash them so I can’t report on that yet.
