Review on 🌬️ MSI Core Frozr XL Cooling by Boss Spangler

Just a few days before my Ryzen motherboard and 1700x were due to ship, my friend accidentally noticed that the 1700x did NOT come with a Wraith cooler. My old Hyper 212 evo cooler was supposed to be compatible, but the Coolermasters AM4 adapter mount sold out immediately and is still out of stock. Stumbled across this by accident and considering I have an MSI Gaming graphics card and an MSI B350 Tomahawk motherboard it wasn't difficult. The LED backlit screen looks amazing next to my MSI graphics card, Red LED Corsair Vegeance memory, Red LED motherboard and Red LED case fans! Works really well with Ryzen as I overclocked my 1700x to 3.9GHz stably with the cooler and it's strong enough to turn on XFR if you use the stock clock. Best of all, it's also AM4 compatible out of the box, no adapter needed! minuses? Well, LEDs aren't customizable, so you'll have to look elsewhere if that's your thing. Also, it's not a water cooler, but I assume you knew that when you bought this one. The instructions are also a bit poor. They are black and white with illustrations. All the different screws are labeled with letters in the picture, but not the screws themselves, so you need to match them to the picture as best you can. Finally, if you want to add a second fan, you'll either have to find a third-party fan with the same specs, or replace the stock fan, as MSI doesn't seem to sell a second fan for it. But overall I'm impressed and give MSI 5 stars for a great product!
