It just turns off. Uncomfortable. Doesn't stand on its own when you clean the canister. He will not stand against the wall. Holes need to be drilled and assembled. I didn't want it yet! Difficult to get dust/hair out because the collector is so long and narrow for your hand. You need to open the other side, take out the filter to clean it properly. The dust nozzle slides down (it is on the same handle as the other nozzle types). He doesn't stay down. With each pressure, the brush slides up and is unusable. I was vacuuming today and the base hinge fell apart. Leave flexible hoses. Thank goodness I was able to put it back together but I'm sending this vacuum back.
