These lights were extremely easy to install once I figured out where to place them based on the design in the attic. I drilled small holes and then threaded wire hangers through them to see if I had enough free space in the attic and then adjusted them accordingly. The template takes on the task of guessing the hole by determining the required hole size. I used a retractable razor blade to cut through the paper layer of the drywall, then I used a drywall saw to cut out the "pie pieces" and push them through the attic. Each hole was cut in under 2 minutes. I used 14/2 wire to connect them all together and had no problems. Suggestion: use the supplied tape. This will save you a lot of frustration. Overall they look great and I feel like a lighting pro! I am already planning to install more in the hallway.
