Review on ๐ŸŽฎ LucidSound LS30 Wireless Gaming Headset (Black) - Versatile Compatibility for PS4, Xbox One, PC & Mobile Devices by Paula Oster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wanted to know logistics before buying -

Comfort - 5 stars. It's a little heavy but fits comfortably so it doesn't get in the way. Become more comfortable after long-term use. Sound - 4.5 stars. The headphone output is excellent. When connected to a cell phone, I would wish for a louder volume. While it's probably for my own good, my ears have been mistreated and I don't have very good hearing. Microphone - 4 stars. picks up sound quite well and the voice monitor is thin and non-reverberating. No interference unless you're shouting and the mic isn't too close. Sometimes the connection drops slightly when connected to my PS4. I don't know if it's the strength of the PS4 network connection or the headset. Easy to install and use - 5 stars. Very easy and intuitive to understand on any console. Note that you don't have to use an optical cable if you use USB, but if you don't, chat and game volume are controlled by one of the headset's controls. This can be configured in the quick menu on PS4, where alongside customization there is also chat for the game's audio priority bar. Dials and buttons make it easy to find and adjust settings. Noise cancellation - 2-3 stars. What kind of noise reduction? It's not a feature that's important to me, but it might be for other people. Some sounds can be heard by others when I'm wearing my headphones (no more than regular headphones at full volume) and my mic picks up the rustling of my son building Legos on the floor when chat volume is on, volume down the game is at least, which is cool in my opinion, but it indicates that the microphone picks up all kinds of noises. Versatility - 5 stars. Can be used both wirelessly and wired on most devices, even PC, mobile requires an extra cable, PS3 must be wireless. I also read that the headset works with wiiu although it is not optimized for it. You can play all audio through the headset or play game music through the TV using the headset for chat audio only. I only know of 2 other wireless headsets that are really versatile. Battery life - 5 stars. I didn't time it, but it takes forever. Charging doesn't take long. Longevity - I'll keep you posted. Reviews warn that the charging connector fails over time. Maybe a little carefully applied glue can help prevent it if you notice it peeling off? Many of the flaws mentioned in the reviews can be found in the troubleshooting section of the product's website and are easier to fix than you might think. (I was wondering why only a dial controlled game + chat, so I stumbled upon this.) Very helpful. I need to find a link. I compared different headphones that met my needs for sleek looks, versatility, battery life, and sound quality. I was tethered between them and the Siberia 800 or Steel 840 series before settling on these, but these are $300+ headsets. Not faultless overall, but more than happy with all the features you get for the price. I apologize to people who have shortcomings.
