Love it. the best in boating and sailing

Earlier this summer I installed a Deckboat 35 on my 21 foot pontoon. I use a 15 pound vinyl coated river mushroom anchor with it. I was concerned that he might not have the strength to pull him up from the bottom of our muddy lake, so I emailed Trek. They said not to use it to lift it off the ground but first use the power of the boat to get it out. Boy, that eliminates a lot of the need for a power anchor. So I ignored her advice and used it to get the anchor out of the deep mud. The winch slows, freeing the anchor from the mud, but doesn't stop. If he overloads the winch, the fuse should blow, right? I love that I just push the auto-anchor button on the helm once and the anchor drops to the bottom and slowly unwinds the line so it doesn't tangle on the reel until it magically stops with enough volume, to hold the boat. To retrieve it you must hold the UP button until the anchor is just below the surface, reach down and swing it back and forth to knock off any remaining dirt and carefully lift it all the way into the storage position. Stay away, I might add. I go crazy and don't use the safety catch because then I can't release the anchor from the rudder. So far, so good. Oh, and it perfectly complements my remote control for my hydraulic boat lift.
