I was impressed with this light box. This is our first but I did a lot of comparisons before deciding on this one. It was well packaged and arrived intact. When unpacking the protective paper, there is also a peel-off protection on the display, so it arrived without scratches. I agree with others that the paper that comes with it isn't tracing paper, but the light is so bright it doesn't matter. There are 3 lighting modes. The first is bright, the second super bright, and the third incredibly bright. Level 1 provides enough light to see clearly through regular printer paper. Others allow you to see through thicker paper. There are only 2 negatives, both are connected to the clip - 1. The full clip lifts the entire block off the table to either clip or board into place. 2. The clip has no padding so I tried not to scratch the surface with it. This is not a breach of contract. I would suggest using a different clamp if you plan on using it on a table. I have seen on cheaper models that black was visible around the individual LEDs. This one is completely white and it is impossible to see the bulbs. It's also pretty durable. I let my two younger kids use it without worrying about it breaking. The connector in the kit works well, the cable is very long. The device itself is thin enough to slip over most books without damaging the binding. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase.
