Well it worked about 75% of the time. But too many times my cat has been in a deep sleep and out of the blue the perch has either fallen out of the suction or the connection. My cat only weighs about 13 pounds or so, I know that's not the weight. I had another brand of perch 2 years ago and never had a problem with it falling off. Thing is, my poor kitty slept so soundly and woke up in the air and fell to the ground. Terrible way to wake up! That's why he got hurt so many times! He needs time to believe it again. His favorite place to sleep used to be the windowsill 95% of the time. After so many falls from that mark he only sleeps there 10-15% of the time. I can say that he has been using it less and less since last fall (it was very traumatic). He has major trust issues. I can see him looking at it for a while and wanting to move on, but you can tell he's thinking about all the times he's fallen off and was looking for another place to take a nap. pity =/
