It works, but if you're looking for a similar product, take the time and consider making your own coffee table.

Here's the deal. This thing is very Chinese, but it works as long as you're comfortable enough to customize it to suit your needs. Problems I encountered: 1. Two hinges did not retract to their original position at the same point. So the way it was installed was slightly different on each side.2. the locking mechanism is terrible. (but mainly because of point #3)3. The washers and screws used to attach the gas spring are incorrect. A lock washer was used instead of the usual shim washers. This makes the locking mechanism very loose and fuzzy. easy to fix.4. DO NOT attempt to tighten the shock bolts more than they already are. The whole is made of cheese steel and can be easily removed. Otherwise it was ok for 35€. Looking back, I would have made my own.

Pros

Note: Each hydraulic lift has a force of 66 pounds. In other words, you have to weigh 132 pounds to keep this suction cup closed. Or you can find a suitable fastener at your local hardware store to keep it closed.
