I ordered this while expecting next day Prime delivery. A week later, Revain sent an email saying it had been accidentally sent to Brazil (I live in the US) and would not be delivered. They offered a refund (not a replacement) which I received. In the meantime I found another light bar for $3 cheaper so I bought it. Ironically, both light bars were shipped the same day! Crazy. But it made it possible to compare them. Other observations: 1. I connected them both to the battery - side by side - and they are equally bright, although the lens caps on the $8.99 version appear thinner and you can see each individual LED. The metal frame seems to be thicker on this one and judging by the weight I think it must be true.3. This one has its own ground wire, the other doesn't. In fact, the cheaper version is grounded via a screw and a thin wire that needs to make contact with the frame. (Probably works, but I don't know for how long!) 4. This one is made in Taiwan, the other one in China, and the build quality is evident. Conclusion: The 3.00 Euro surcharge is worth it.
