This makes my floors much easier to clean! However, I honestly don't know how good it would be if your floors were really dirty and hadn't been washed in years. But I keep my floors reasonably clean if spills, footprints etc happen; So for me this product is perfect and keeps me from swaying, bending over etc. It's very easy to use you just have to remember to make it work for you and just guide it, try not to push it too much. I heat the water in the microwave before dampening it with a mop. I have not used the cleaner in the mop itself, instead I would recommend applying a little to the floor if you feel like doing so and/or to the pads themselves. It stays charged for at least 30 minutes; I don't know how long this will take as it takes me about 30 minutes to get the kitchen and lobby ready. To avoid swirl trails, just make sure you circle the area a few times without splashing water before exiting the area. I found the microfiber pads do the job well and dry quickly. Just don't leave this place until you run through the whirlpools until they are no longer visible, as if it seems almost dry (but probably still wet). I've never had an automatic cordless vacuum cleaner like this, so I have no comparison. But I'm definitely glad I bought this one; although it was a bit more than I was willing to spend. However, the battery is working great so far and I hand wash the pads and let them air dry; Hopefully it will serve me for many years. One thing I've noticed is that although it takes me the same amount of time to mop the floors, I'm not completely exhausted now and sweating afterwards as it does the hard work of mopping the floors for you! If you're on the fence, I say try it!
