Review on Pirelli Ice Zero 205/60 R16 96T winter by Mateusz Smoliski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

In overall, I felt like I made a bad choice in dimension (65/195 15). It's possible that 55/205 16 would have performed better, given that its main claim is to sideways movements. Best tires ever for crossovers, especially in snowy climates where you have to regularly drive over snow banks. While I did enjoy the rubber's performance, I plan to switch to a different material for the upcoming season if at all possible. Maybe in another dimension on it.

Pros
  • Good rake in the snow and great stopping power. For use as a sled.
Cons
  • Strange things happen when you turn corners with it; at first it slips a bit, and then it catches a hook. This causes a lack of confidence and a sense of being unsettled. When the rubber is breaking off or has "stood" on the arc, limiting modes are activated, and the world is seen in a new light. Excellent slide into it, and the change was seamless. Extremely forgiving sidewall; you'll still feel like you've got ice under your wheels, even on asphalt. In other words, you can't doze off while driving (a habit shared by 80% of motorists). Which is a benefit to consider.
