Easy install, quick upgrade SSD for Macbook Pro 15 Retina Mid 2014

I bought this Aura Pro X2 1TB SSD to upgrade my Macbook Pro (Retina 15" Mid 2014) and the original 256GB Apple SSD to replace Original for this MacBook Pro Pre-installation: MacBook Pro updated to OSX Mojave 10.14.5 I also made a Time Machine backup Installation: Was easy, follow the instructions according to the SSD installation videos provided by OWC Remove the previous SSD and put it in the case OS Recovery: When you boot after replacing the SSD, turn on the machine, don't forget to press Command-Option-R at startup to go to the recovery options .Using Disk Utility I formatted the new SSD drive.Use the recovery option to recover from a Time Machine B ackup from the pre-installation step above. OWC technical support was contacted via live chat to confirm the promotion. I noticed that restoring from a Time Machine backup is much faster than before - my system was restored in 45 minutes. Total time from hardware installation to a fully functional recovered system with a new SSD: 1 hour. Performance: I recorded drive performance before and after replacing the SSD using the BlackMagic Disk Speed test program. Read speeds increased from 668MB/s with the original Apple SSD to 1482MB/s with the Aura Pro X2. Write speed from 562MB/s to 1313MB/s. With comparable battery performance, no heating was determined - one week of use with a new SSD. So I'm very happy with the Aura Pro X2, would definitely recommend it to others considering an SSD upgrade.
