I recently bought a used Craftsman GT5000 lawn tractor and 42 inch wide snow blower. The tractor didn't have an hour meter so I bought this and it fits my tractor perfectly. A mounting hole was already molded into the dashboard, so installing this unit was very easy. I found a +12 volt switching power supply and made a red +12 volt wire and a black negative wire to turn on the hour meter when the key is on. It works as advertised and allows me to keep track of oil changes and other service intervals closely.
