Unfortunately, the implementation of the USB-C standard is causing headaches for the entire industry. The manufacturer posted detailed compatibility information on the Revain product page, which I took to mean that my 2016 MacBook Pro would work with the adapter. This was true for the headphone jack, but not for the microphone jack. When testing with microphones and headsets with TR, TSR, or TSSR connectors, the microphone input did not send audio to the computer. The audio output through the high-quality Bose headphones is excellent. I appreciate the customer service from this manufacturer! They provided detailed instructions on how to perform various tests (always in perfect English, emailed the next day) to fix the problem. They even sent me a replacement adapter free of charge to eliminate the possibility of a manufacturing defect. I will definitely use this manufacturer again!
