Conclusion: This BDP-S5500 is not physically able to pause, wait, stutter, watch Netflix without a buffer. i give it back The tragedy is that I bought it to replace the BDP-S590 I've been using for 4 years. It was great so I was willing to pay $179 for it. What a disappointment. I think this device works for some people because all commercially sold devices have variances. Most likely the problem is with the chip (or chipset) that communicates with the internet and they may happen to exceed the 3.8Mbps which I'm limited to. You are good! I wish them continued success.
