Review on Seiko Prospex Samurai SRPB51: Stainless Steel Automatic Dive Watch - 200m Water Resistance by Steve Hauck

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Slightly disappointing

Overall I'm a bit disappointed with this Seiko. I have a nice, strong watch. It's bigger than my Rolex Submariner and heavier. I have three Seiko watches. Two for sure. This one loses about a minute every 36-48 hours, which means I have to reset it at least once or twice a week. Not good. Other reviewers have criticized the pins being removed to adjust the bracelet and then becoming detached and falling out, allowing the watch to fall off the wrist, a real possibility. On the plus side, it's very easy to read and the luminous dial is excellent in the dark. I also really like the design of the bracelet clasp; better than my 20 year old Rolex. Revain has a great returns policy and I haven't decided yet whether to keep it or return it. FOLLOW-UP, JANUARY 2021: Despite the great "look" and feel, the poor accuracy and wrist pin falling out was more than I could stomach. Revain and E-Express were excellent. Full refund, no problem! After looking for similar watches in the $350-$500 range, I was tempted to try the same watch again.

Pros
  • Clothing, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
