If I were just a college student trying to work in my dorm room and I needed to extend my monitor or something secondary then this would be the perfect product! I don't think this product is for people who work 9 to 5 and demand a lot from their gear... I am currently using the Big Sur 11.5 docking station... After I was able to resolve this issue, my next dilemma was that my peripherals were not working not good with it. In particular, I use a Bluetooth USB device for phone calls (Poly BT600). Even though my softphone app recognized that the USB port was plugged in, it seems to be having a lot of problems with it. Not significant enough to go into it, so in short it wasn't ideal for me.
