This charger is ideal for keeping your rarely used car ready. not enough to bring back a fully discharged battery under load (my battery dropped to just 2 volts). The device doesn't put out enough power (750mW) to power the car's computer through a full boot cycle, so it's stuck in a boot, power off, and reset cycle that it couldn't break after many hours. After jump starting it and driving around the block to charge the battery enough to keep the computer on long enough to plug in the charger, it did the job and fully charged the battery in a couple of days. It now keeps the battery fully charged and gracefully pauses charging when the battery is fully charged so my car will still start even if I don't drive it for weeks. Very important!
