I have it hanging in my room every day!
It would be great for travel but since I don't travel much these days I use it for what I call everyday makeup options. I have a large case organizer for all my makeup, but I use it for my essentials (foundation, eyeliner, mascara, nude lipstick, etc. - things I want easy access to. They can do quite a lot groceries and you can still roll it up for travel - so it definitely does what you need.
