Review on Grill Polaris PGP 1902, stainless steel/black by Dagmara Nizioek ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quite good, but I expected more from it.

Below are some advantages: I use the Polaris PGP 2402, which is a comparable device with temperature and timer controls. Since it operates exactly like this one does, I have reproduced the review in its entirety. I suggest that you pay close attention to the section titled "What Did Not Like." "Heavy, robust, clad in stainless steel, leaving a general impression of dependability. Easy to clean removable heating panels. There is nothing to "burn" according to the analog time relays and the temperature control system. The top panel has three preset height options and one additional free position for press mode (two-way contact). When opened 180 degrees, both panels can function as a stove at once. Cons: The device requires considerable tenacity and muscle to operate because the regulators are quite tight and the rotating knobs are smooth and slippery. When installed in one of the various adjustable positions (aside from the free, fully contact position), the teeth that determine the distance between the bottom panel and the top are on one side, which results in a transverse (in the frontal plane) skew of the upper part of the grill by a significant angle: subjectively, about 5 degrees. In actuality, this means that when you use a prong to adjust the grill's top panel to its lowest position, you obtain a clearance of more than 3 cm from the prong's side and less than 1.5 from the other side. As a result, the panel on the opposite side of the regulator touches the food that is being cooked from above, which is often not appropriate (for example, while making cheese sandwiches or heating pizza, etc.). Additionally, the rotary mechanism simultaneously bears a considerable one-sided load (really a fracture), which I assume will cause irreversible damage to the unit soon.
