I have had it slide under the bed but it doesn't slide far enough because there is a bar in the middle of the tray so the person has to sit on the edge of the bed to use the main tray and the flat part is not accessible. We tried using it with a wheelchair as an extra table and that was also a failure because the wheels stick out and it can't be hidden close enough. This portable desk is without a doubt the best on the market.
