Not the same as the old ones but best for milling I could find
Over the years I've used slightly thicker and softer pads to hold wood for milling. When I was looking for a new one, almost every so-called router pad or mat I could find was the thin waffle variety, which wasn't adequate for my purpose. I like the old ones because with a little smoothing I can toss them on the bench where they lay flat. Even if they are worn well, they still do their job. However, this style also seems unattainable. This mat is thinner and a bit flimsy than I'd like it to be, but so far it's working. As advertised it also works well as a tool box or tray insert.
