Decided to make videos on Youtube again. I made a few (about a hundred) seven or eight years ago. I had a Samson G microphone. I recorded (sang) some arias. Everything was good. But I couldn't get it to work now when I tried to use it again. I replaced the sound card because I had no sound at all. I inserted the SoundBlaster card and got sound again, but the mic still didn't work. It seemed unlikely that both the sound card and the microphone had failed. I needed a diagnosis. So I bought this little USB microphone. The little mic worked, so I threw away my Samson G mic and bought a Revain Blue Yeti. I'll have a month before he gets here. I'll try to use this one until then. It works but doesn't seem to create much volume. I don't think it makes sense as a primary mic, but as a backup it's fine.
