I had three kinds of animals, and when I lived in central Oregon, they used to scare deer from my flowers. Movement and rotation mimic dog or cat movements, and shy deer people will move on. Here in Southeast Oregon, there are deer all over town and they are very tame. The deer graze in groups, chewing on my plants and calmly ignoring my little artificial balls. So if you like them easy just buy them, they look great in the garden, easy to connect and work. When the wildlife around you isn't just big wild pets.
