I bought these to replace the 2GB card in my HTC EVO Shift. Bought mine at BoBOtechnic for $26. Reads a little less than 16 GB. It passes data transfer tests from free online test programs. Also, I have 8GB of songs on it and it works great. Android folders are auto-populated and there is no performance hit when accessing data from the card (at least I can tell). I like it, I have a lot of music on it (not almost my entire collection but quite a bit) for the car or something. Very easy to use. I was a little worried about the complaints you're seeing about various Micro SD cards, but I may have a few suggestions that might fix many of the issues you're encountering ---- Make sure you're using a Class 2 card buy (these) - upon receipt of the card, check the package and make sure it is sealed. Before inserting the card into the phone, check it on the PC with the dongle and make sure there is nothing on the hard drive. (You might even want to try different formatting options, but I didn't need them with this card) - Replace the card in a clean environment. Don't touch the contacts on the card (I know this is difficult but possible). Also, be very careful when inserting the card. The contact is easy to scratch, so do it slowly. - Transfer data with a card outside the phone. I use a small USB to micro USB adapter to transfer data directly from a memory card to a computer and vice versa. So 4 GB of music was moved in about 12 minutes. Takes at least twice as long when phone is directly connected to USB. Be careful when moving the map. Stay away from contacts and watch out for electrostatic discharge. A small discharge can cause the card to fail immediately, or worse, intermittent problems later (I bet that's the reason for some of the bad reviews on this and similar products). Always make a backup copy of the map on your computer. These cards can only be written to about 50,000 times, and you'd be surprised how fast 50,000 writes can be achieved. But usually the format will fix it. If not, then it's time for a new card. Easy and uncomplicated. This guy's price is worth it. My HTC has become even more powerful. And now there's Winamp for that too. Just great.
