Review on LG UltraGear 32GQ950 B DisplayHDR FreeSync 4K, 144Hz, Height Adjustment, Adaptive Sync, Pivot & Tilt Adjustment, ‎32GQ950-B.AUS, IPS by Richard Williams

Revainrating 1 out of 5

This is an AMAZING MONITOR.

I am changing my 5 star rating to 2 stars, why? Check out the new pics I posted. On PC it gets stuck at 120hz when playing full screen and 240hz in borderless mode. This monitor thinks I'm playing 4k 120hz when it's clearly a 240hz 1440p monitor. Apparently 240hz fullscreen works with advanced adaptive sync (edit: this doesn't work, it's fake fullscreen, only 1440 borderless). This should not be due to a very expensive monitor. Everything else on this monitor is great, from colors to quality to VRR, but this technical flaw makes games play weird. Some games have Apex. I'm getting double vision, I thought I was getting 300hz according to the game's Steam FPS, but it was actually 120hz. I will update my review once this is corrected and confirmed. Again, that's 240Hz in borderless mode and 120Hz in full-screen mode. It's not the LG32gq950-b, it's the 850 version. So when you switch to 4k it looks blurry. Why does he even have this option on the PC in the NVIDIA Control Panel. It also interferes with game scaling because it thinks I have a 4k monitor. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO SAY YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM, SHOW THE PROOF, PLAY e.g. B. APEX LEGENDS, play in full screen, go to LG settings, GO TO GENERAL, then go to About I have. UPDATE: If you have a 3000 series card or higher, you're out of luck. Apparently, this effect was not reproduced in a large number of tests with the AMD 6800xt on this monitor, as well as with 1080 ti and 2080 ti. However, if you are using a 3080 ti or 3070 ti (which I tested), this monitor DOES NOT ALLOW FULL SCREEN NATURAL 1440p @ 240Hz. LG needs to talk to Nvidia about this issue ASAP. We all know that Borderless has more input lag and slower performance than native fullscreen. I will leave this negative feedback until this is fixed in an update.
