I used them to hang Christmas lights for decoration and extra lighting around the room. I place command bars about every 2-3 feet and let them sit for 24 hours before adding lights as recommended. The lights are so light I didn't think I'd need the hooks so close together, but I didn't want the wire and bulbs hanging down. I had nothing but trouble - they kept falling. I'm not sure if the company behind the Command strips changed their formula, but I remember they worked great when I first started using them 10 years ago. Now they have no sticky power at all. I'm not sure how to fix my lights but that's not the answer. The good news is that the stickiness is so low that they don't strip paint if dropped.
