Buy running shoes directly from the running company!

No folks, be very careful when buying running shoes online and not directly from the running company that makes them. I've been running at Asics for over 15 years and needed two new pairs to replace my old 2000 4s. It had to be the exact same model. Here's what I found: I ordered my first pair, a size 8 in a regular width that I usually wear with sneakers. I wear normal size 7.5 shoes, but you should always go half a size up from your normal size in athletic shoes to compensate for swelling in your feet during exercise. Got my first pair of these sneakers. They looked real, so I ordered another pair along the way. I haven't tested them yet. My mistake. I compared them to my 2000 4s pickups and found that they were exactly the same width/length as my old 2000 4s. Photos are attached. My bright orange shoes are on the left, the new grey-blue ones on the right. Same size. So if you're wondering if they work a little. Not if you are replacing the same model. If you compare them to old/new models, there are likely to be inconsistencies. Asics are known for changing things up every year. However, that didn't go wrong for me. I've only had them for less than a week and have tried about 3 runs/walks in my new pair. Every time after a run, my right leg would hurt so much that I had to stay off my leg completely the next day. Even walking hurts. Then I would try again. Every time I took off my right shoe, my foot was in terrible condition. The only way I can describe it was that it was like there was something wrong with the right shoe and it felt like I was walking diagonally on that foot as long as my foot wanted to step on the outside edge of my foot. It completely distorted my gait and my whole leg hurt so bad I couldn't even walk on that right leg for the rest of the day. I received the second pair I ordered - the exact same shoes - and took the right boot out of the new box and placed it next to the new right boot I was about to break in with such issues. Peak is on. After taking photos and looking at the two shoes on the right, I noticed that the one that was giving me trouble was noticeably shorter; The gray stripe around the back was lower than the other new pair of feet and the heel (rubber) didn't rise as high as the other boot. The new right shoe on the left, the bad right shoe that gave me such trouble on the right. If you look closely you will see that the one on the left is taller and the patterns don't match. I knew something was wrong with the boot I was wearing and now I could see it. Either the heel drop was lower, uneven or something like that. But it didn't seem to me. I wrapped both new pairs and shipped them back to Revane. I bought them from Revain through ShoeCity. They were supposed to be identical, but they weren't. The pain from the bad shoes was enough to almost make me think I had a running injury. I will no longer buy sneakers from unknown sellers please buy direct from Asics/Brooks etc so you know you are getting real shoes or you can contact the company and they can help you as they know their running shoes . Never again.
