I am truly loving these brushes so far. I gave up my hobby for years while a raised my daughter and worked, I always felt to rushed and too busy to take the time to dedicate myself to the art and my work just never looked good to me, it suffered from rushed painting. You can't rush when you pain, at least I can't, after becoming disabled 8 years ago I was just disinterested, until recently. So I took an acrylic painting class (I have never painted with them only oils and water) but I wanted to awaken myself. It worked. I am water painting with them at this point, which is funny because I really was going to try to learn acrylic painting. I guess I just really love cheap old water paints (as in the $3.00 ones you buy for your kids). I haven't noticed bristle loss as I am painting, which is nice and since I am starting into the some serious dabbing because of heavy shadowing and blending I am really appreciating and loving the #4 brush it blends the colors so well and than fades out great. #4 will most likely be one of my favorites but then I am enjoy how the paint brush feels in my hand. The wood handle is not too small it is of a good fit; the thickness isn't bulky like a marker but is not as thin as a pencil either. They wash up nice, so far they don't seem to hold the color of the paint, but as I said I have only used very, very cheap paint. I just purchased water paint in a tube that is supposed to have better pigmentation and provide more color (as the rust washes off my talent I am exploring the new items available to me (water paint in a tube wasn't available years ago, what a novel idea), I guess I will see how they wash out then, I believe they will be good. These are really nice brushes. I will be buying another set of brushes from this maker as I am going to need different types of brushes I don't have and more of what I do have.I recommend these brushes to I think they are really good.
