When I'm cooking pasta, this strainer comes in very handy - I put it in the sink and then have both hands free to pour the pot into the strainer. It's a really big deal because I've always tried to hold the colander in one hand and use the other hand to pour the hot water and noodles out of the pot. It was only a matter of time before I accidentally spilled hot water on my foot or something. Fortunately, I don't think it will happen now. It slides and folds together, making it very easy to store. Looks good and solid. This is the second product I've tried from this company - DLD. They seem to make good, innovative kitchen products. Highly recommended!
