I was hesitant to order this chair based on the reviews but took the risk of buying it for just over $200. It was very easy to put together, no damage to any parts, the base is impeccable, no crookedness, no creaking, etc. In general, any negative feedback is acceptable and the chair I received really works. do not show these problems. The date of manufacture of my chair is 08/09/2019. There's a good chance La-Z-Boy has stepped in and provided better quality control over the last few years. It's an officially licensed product - it's not just "oh they let chinese companies use that name and that's it lol". La-Z-Boy protects its intellectual property regardless of who makes its product. This is actually listed on their official website, while their Chinese sofas are not. This chair is completely silent and has excellent support. If you are under 6ft your legs may dangle but this is a big and tall chair. If you are 6-6' 4' then the placement of the padding, lumbar support and head pad is correct. You should not order a BIG AND HIGH chair if you are shorter than this height. My desk is already higher than a regular desk, so I had no problems rubbing my hands. If you're 6 feet or taller and your desk is that low to begin with, you'll have other problems. I also fitted locking casters at assembly and they slide like clockwork. I compared many chairs (without ergonomic elements - this is for the office). For executive seats, this absolutely destroys "DX Racer" style bucket seats that have nothing to do with a sports car. You won't find a typical executive chair of this quality and price anywhere else. If you want something EXTREMELY pretty, buy a custom leather executive chair. I don't think most people understand that $5,000 is easy. Otherwise, spend the same money on the brick-and-mortar office chain and buy a chair that isn't even from the same area as this one. If you understand what you are getting for this price, this is a great deal. Update 2/8/20: 2+ months later, 0 issues. I blame it on the fact that most people don't assemble it well enough or don't fit the chair. Everyone who sits in it loves it. The old $200 Staples chair he replaced looks like a wet rat next to this thing. This is probably the most interesting set of reviews I've seen on Amazon. Don't listen to bad reviews. Most of these people didn't even put the shroud on the bottom of the chair; I doubt they followed the directions. If you want a chair that sits comfortably at your home table, this is it. Easy to replace. Also, the chair is fine. I wouldn't pay more than $400 for that.
