Beginner: Fan runs and makes a faint but slight noise when stopped

I'm a newbie. I have never attempted to repair my electronics. I always bought a new one. This would be the case if I liked the Lite, but no, I decided to try and fix the broken fan. The fan was making this horrible grinding noise. It drove me crazy I followed the iFixit instructions. This is easy to do, but I suggest taking your time. The Y screws were difficult to get out so I removed one of them. In addition, due to my mistake, 2 screws at the top and 1 screw at the bottom of the back wall broke. After removing the necessary parts, replacing the fan, adding new thermal paste (it was nice to turn on) and putting everything back together, I turned it on. The first thing I noticed was total silence. I thought the fan died because the old fan was very noticeable when booting up. I want to download Zelda BOTW but it won't download. Strange since my microsd card is inserted. I take it out and put it back in and nothing. I take the switch apart (the Y-screws are killing me) and fiddle with the card reader. I put the card back in and he recognizes it. Excellent! I re-download BOTW and it works! The game starts and I can't hear anything. I'm starting to sweat and I'm thinking about taking it all apart again. Then I hear a faint noise. I put my ear to it and feel the air and hear the rotation! Victory! I start playing BOTW and it's very quiet. I am very happy and proud of myself. When I'm gaming, I notice that the fan makes a sound like it's hitting something when I flick the switch up and down quickly. I'm not sure if it's the fan or how I installed it. Still, he's calm and I'll just be more careful holding him.
