Take your time and do your homework before attempting to replace the fan. This isn't very difficult, but it's easy to get lost if you don't keep track of which screws go where. Worst of all, these two pieces of foam are attached to the heatsink as one piece. Take your time and scrape it off with the included scraper and it will rise. I have a starter switch and the fan has been noisy for the last year. My switch failed this week due to overheating. I decided the fan had finally died, so I ordered a replacement. Update: Well after almost a year and a half this replacement fan has died. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone considering that. My original fan lasted three years (bought the switch on launch day).
