, but I read the reviews and took the plunge. I've had it for several months now and have used it several times. I usually bring a casserole to work. That means I take it out of the oven around 8 and it's served for dinner. I place a "cross" of aluminum foil on the counter and place the hot casserole on top as soon as I take it out of the oven. Then I make sure that the foil completely encloses the hot dish. Then I wrap the foil-wrapped bowl in a heavy terry towel and make sure the lugger is stuffed. When I open it four hours later and serve it to the table, the dish is still hot - not steaming, but very hot. Don't worry the products are safe. Some of my colleagues were so impressed that they bought one for themselves.
