Review on Desktop With110 Degree Digital Microphone Recording by Kevin Zamora

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, impressive for the price.

Bought because the pandemic has made me a mostly remote worker and most of my meetings are now via MS Teams or Zoom. I used a mic at first but have since bought a dedicated mic for better sound quality; Not that the mic was terrible on this one, I just wanted something clearer because I'm a naturally soft speaker so mics some distance away don't usually pick up my voice that well (thought it would be easier to switch mics ). situation than changing the way I speak haha). Overall, I'm impressed with this webcam. Even when I bought it for $38, it's cheaper now at the time of this review. I'm not a video or audiophile, but I can safely tell you that my video quality on calls and meetings is MUCH better than people I meet who use the built-in cameras in their laptops, and they're just as good or better are than most people who also use separate webcams. So it really should be shot in 1080p. In some cases the wide-angle picture is really good, and in others I'd happily buy a non-wide-angle picture as it tends to show off my room too much. Something I've found that shines is the light correction. There are days when there's no natural light in my office (and I forget to turn on the lamp before a call or meeting) because there's a thunderstorm or overcast weather, and this camera does a great job of correcting the light and keeps the picture sharp. The color is definitely a bit washed out on this camera, but for the money I can't complain at all. The tripod (which I use) and the protective cap (which I also use) are very nice additions. For the money, this is a great webcam for meetings and video calls. I'm sure if you spend more time streaming videos or work with videos professionally, you need something better. But for general office use, I see no need to spend more. I can't confirm all situations, but for me it was plug and play, no problem. I connected it to my work laptop, home laptop and two docking stations and had no problems. Bought in early 2020, a great webcam for me.
