This is an ionizer that can be used at home OR in a car , where you have a USB port/adapter, or in the car with the supplied cable. I have it working in my house for 3 days. It's quiet and I can't feel anything in the air, but I didn't have any smells at first either. Sometimes they can emit a slight odor with ionizers, but not this one. You have to wipe the collectible plates every few weeks and they come out and fall apart. I don't spend enough time in the car to use it there, so I installed it at my home. Using this at home, mine didn't work when I plugged it into the power bank/adapter. It REALLY worked when I removed the adapter and plugged directly into a USB port on the wall. The power adapter must have failed because now it works wherever I plug it into the USB port. My first test was in a freshly used bathroom. I closed the door, turned it on and came back 2 or 3 minutes later to check. NO SMELL, swear! IMO, this works great. I have a bathroom ionizer that I turned off for this test and my other ionizer has never been as fast as this item, but it was nowhere near as expensive as this one. My only issue with this product is the price. I can't tell if this will work in 5 or 10 years, so I don't know if it's worth the initial $200 investment. I decided to use this in my son's bedroom and put his echo dot on it. I'll report back how it works in his 10 x 12 room. That turns off and doesn't stay on. I wouldn't buy this.
