I placed my base station in the bathroom corner of my house on two outside walls where my three cameras have the best range. The cameras get a great signal, but the base station and power cord look crappy on my vanity. This piece was a good solution for getting everything off the countertop and off the wall. Despite what others say in these reviews, this item is solid enough to do what it's supposed to do. The base station snaps securely onto the mounting pin and holds it in place while the cable stays neatly coiled. I order a second one!
