Rubber grommets! This set of grommets includes both an open style to relieve tension and protection, and a leg style (no holes) to protect the surfaces your project sits on, prevent slippage, and provide a small flow of air for cooling. (assuming you made this tutorial at the end of your project). Sizing is easy and very helpful. The packaging is just great with the caveat that they don't drill holes or give inside dimensions.
Pros
- Rubber grommets are quicker and easier to install as they can only be fitted on one side. It is not necessary to reach the opposite side of the unit to apply the lock nut, ideal bushing for use in confined spaces as it does not protrude or take up much space, more economical and practical solutions and more ergonomic since you do not have to screw it manually. Once installed, the hole remains plugged until the membrane is pushed out.
