Review on Diyeeni Inverter Workmanship Pressure Backlight by John Fuentes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for DIY/PC case mods (CCFL lights)

I bought two of these because they were cheap but didn't know if they would work with CCFL lights used in PC cases (I have 6 pipes 250mm, 300mm and 4" in the tank.) It's a big Corsair 750D so there's room for it. Anyway, I couldn't get them to work at first, but quickly found that they wouldn't work with a single bulb. Also, there's no useful data or instructions, so here's my find: Red: power, yellow (next to red): switch on/off for 3.3V, next yellow: dimmer. I haven't used it and plugging into nothing gives full brightness. Black: Ground (I used "12v" ground from the SATA connector where I got 12v. 3.3 was a bit tricky, I had to get it from one of the pins to a 24 pin connector. I had a extension cord so i just shaved and soldered the wire from there it has over current protection and luckily i had to learn it by trial and error remember this is made for laptops ok how does it work the 4 brightest lightbulbs in my case definitely came from one of those inverters if they were weak or if it was a worn out inverter the bulbs shone twice as bright as before, thats all i need to plug into the new inverter and add 2 more bulbs somewhere i managed it trying to get two bulbs to work but sometimes the other, empty connectors would start buzzing/sparking so this should be avoided at all costs. only 4 bulbs. I heard that the dimmer function also works at 3.3V if you are interested. I also don't think it should be PWM. The build quality of these units is second to none compared to the dozens of inverters I have had over the years. Definitely the brightest. I bought these to replace my 5th monsoon inverter which has died for me in the last 18 months. The 2 and 4 bulb options are very poor and very expensive. For 1/4 the price I got something much, much better. I will never use anything else after this experience.
