To be honest I wasn't expecting much from these speakers as they are not a well known brand. However, they have more than impressed me with their use. I ordered these for my computer that has been with me since I've been working from home between 2020-2021. When they arrived I was blown away by the size of these speakers! These aren't tiny satellite speakers at all. These are full bookshelf speakers with a heavy 20 pound subwoofer! These are big! The good thing about big is what it means and big sound! Since they are too big for my computer, I decided to figure out where and how to use them. I connected all the connections read the instructions and was very pleasantly surprised that the connection for music (your phone) is also bluetooth! I just thought that Bluetooth would only be needed to connect the wireless subwoofer to the main unit (which it is), but I didn't think it would also be used to connect to your music source. This new found fact gives me a lot more options where to use it now! Ultimately I decided to put them in my garage for the time I spend there working with wood or building a motorcycle. Speaker setup is as follows: 1). The main speaker of the two needs power, and for that it has a cable that's about 5 feet long. The other speaker is NOT wirelessly connected to the main unit and must be within range of the active speaker and connected with an RCA cable (red and white wires). Keep in mind that while they include all the cables you'll need if you need to separate the second speaker from the main active speaker, you're only limited by the length of cable you can purchase. The subwoofer is also powered and requires a separate outlet, but since it's connected to the main speaker via Bluetooth, it can't be more than 20 feet or so from the main speaker. A note: I don't have this problem, but Bluetooth is notoriously weak, so if you hide your subwoofer in a closet, behind a sofa, or somewhere else, there **might** be a signal problem. Again, I haven't encountered anything like this as it's not my setup at the moment, but it's worth mentioning. For me, that's where my setup ends because I won't be plugging these speakers into electricity or wires, I'll be using them for Bluetooth podcasts and music in my garage. If you intend to connect this device to a television or computer, just note that the main active speaker must be within range of the cable connection to the source device. There's no HDMI port, but there is an optical out cable, which is nice. That's all. Unpacking the speakers themselves took longer than installing them! In my garage, an air motor (the glorified powerful fan) is usually running and the door opens to the sounds of the street, and these speakers easily drown out that extra noise. They produce a very nice and clear sound for my podcast speech and blast the tunes when I listen to music. This subwoofer plays a crucial role in adding extra bass, allowing the satellite speakers to focus on the highs and mids.
