Review on Furhaven Jute Twine Rope Replacement Roll For Cat Scratchers - Natural, 33-Feet by Mauricio Woodard

Absolutely worth the money!

We got the Double Decker, in grey. This is a great cat tree! Easily $200 at PetSmart, so the price point was a huge plus.It was easy to put together until I got to the stair ramp. The brackets for that are set at a 90° angle, when the needed to be more like a 45° angle. Not a big deal, I just grabbed big pliers and bent them to the angle I needed. There is one screw that's longer than the others, yet counted as a shorter one in the contents list. You'll probably figure out where it goes like I did, I just wish it said it so I wasn't confused for several mins. Lol (It goes in the middle of square box higher up on the tree) No screws were missing, and it came with an allen wrench. So no extra tools needed. (Until you get to the ramp lol)As far as quality, it looks nice, and the carpet on it is super soft, although I feel like it could be a little thicker. Even if it made it cost more. If you have an aggressive cat, I'm not sure how long the carpet on it will last if they scratch at it, instead of or as well as, the scratching posts. It feels solid, but is a little shaky when set on thicker carpet. If you have a fat cat, you'll want to make sure it's either on a hard surface, or tucked in a corner to prevent it from moving side to side when it's jumped on. (It's a small amount of movement, I just wanted to be as detailed as possible)I just put it together tonight, and we have a kitten, so I can't comment on the longevity of it yet.I absolutely do recommend this as of now. If something goes worng, doesn't lasts, tears, breaks ect. I will be sure to update this review.

Pros
  • Unlike some synthetic ropes, this jute twine is non-toxic and won't harm your cat if they decide to nibble on it
Cons
  • The natural materials may attract insects and pests
