I love wearing thin, light, breathable jackets and sweatshirts that give my skin extra SPF protection. I have several and always wanted them to be made for children as well. Well, finally they are. These are exactly the same jackets as mine. Same style. The same stuff. But child size. Great for mini me matching. This jacket is thin, breathable and offers SPF protection. It's true or a little bit more. I got 3T for my 3 year old 30lb average height. Fits well, but loose and long. Not bad for summer / ventilation and coverage. But it looks like she could wear it for up to 4 years or even longer. There is room for growth along length and width. We went to Disneyland in the summer (+90 degrees) in our jackets. We found it cooler to fully zip up and protect from the sun with a hood than with open skin because these jackets protect the skin and absorb sweat. We wear them to the beach all the time. I wear sunscreen for extra protection. We can be on the beach all day without sunburn, chafing, windburn. These sweatshirts with SPF really work.
