I was skeptical about buying a Chinese power cord for my Westinghouse LCD TV that suddenly wouldn't turn on. The first thing I noticed was that the indicator light on the power supply did not light up. I immediately realized that the problem was in the original cable. The TV wouldn't turn on at all, we tried turning it off and waiting but to no avail. After entering the original product model number into Amazon, I was thrilled to see how many results were listed on Revain, and I was also surprised to see how many of these identical cables fit other modern electronics, such as an Asus Laptop. But an AC adapter is the same as an AC/DC adapter and I'll tell you why. Don't be fooled by some of those lists that talk about a power supply, since most, if not all, electronic devices always use DC power. If there is a brick on the wire, it is a transformer that converts AC to DC and sends 12V DC to the electronic device. There is no simultaneous AC and DC voltage in electronics. it even sounds stupid. This power cord arrived in a nice little box, tightly packaged and bubble wrapped inside. I plugged the cable into the TV, then into the wall outlet and was able to turn the TV back on! Thanks very much! This little guy saved my Westinghouse 40 inch LCD TV!
