No dead pixels, bright backlight, good color reproduction (not studio grade, but great for regular computing). This monitor has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 at 75Hz. This is ideal for reducing the eye strain that many people experience when using 60Hz monitors. It also swivels, tilts, and can be adjusted in height by a few inches. Finally, the screen can be rotated 90 degrees if you want to use a 1024 x 1280 resolution instead (you'll also need to rotate the screen using the graphics driver software or system settings to view the image in the correct orientation). This "square" monitor is perfect for my old computer that runs software that is not compatible with widescreen monitors. I like to use a monitor that doesn't take up much space on my desk and shows the ubiquitous black bars on the sides, just like my other widescreen monitor.
