Toaster with excellent value for money. The extended slot is suitable for long pieces of sourdough etc. and also for bagels. It cooks evenly with no problems. We are very satisfied with this toaster and have used it very often. I was about to replace this toaster today because the lever started to wobble a bit. I decide to unscrew the 6 screws on the bottom of the toaster (unplug it) to see what's going on inside. What did I have to lose! I removed the stainless steel housing to inspect the lever and found that the lever guide (the shaft that the lever slides up and down on) required very little oil. I used a small amount of olive oil and put everything back together. The toaster works like new again. If you feel comfortable, try this before you give up. I used olive oil because I didn't want the strong smell of oil. I know I might have to remove the lid and do it again sometime, but I don't mind. It's very easy. The whole repair took about 10 minutes. The screws are under small rubber feet and small rubber covers. Before you can remove the toaster's body, you must also remove the plastic handle attached to the lever. You will need a T15 Torx bit to remove the screws on the bottom. Hope this helps someone.
