Review on Whirlpool W10278923RP 3 Prong Dishwasher Supply by Dewey Galyon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything is fine, but be careful

Replacement cable works perfectly. It was easy to install. The connector configuration worked for me, but be aware before you buy. It was an easy conversion for a dishwasher that used to be corded. See photos and comments. The photo shows: 1. What you get, right out of the box. Pay attention to the included cable clamp with three wire nuts.2. Well prepared wire ends. Pay attention to the ring for the ground wire.3. The dishwasher lay on its side for easy attachment of a new cord.4. Prong configuration.5. Connects under the sink. The dishwasher is to the left of the sink. For a happy-faced, grounded (6 o'clock) outlet, this cord can be plugged into either half of the outlet. The cord goes up (at 12 o'clock). When connecting to the upper outlet, the lower outlet remains free. While Code has long required a separate circuit for dishwashers, it's not uncommon for a second appliance to be plugged into this handy outlet. Waste chutes (shredders) are often hardwired to an external switch above the countertop, but with a switchable outlet configuration, the GD can simply be plugged into that outlet. Whatever the second appliance is, as long as it has a flat plug and the cord goes down (at 6 o'clock) the dishwasher plug included in this kit won't interfere. (A diagonal exit would be even better.) The second, small benefit of this plug configuration is that it tends to reduce wicking into the plug if the cable gets wet. The bend in the cable can reduce this possibility. This does not replace the correct installation of the GFCI, it is just a small bonus. Revain asked three specific questions about this dishwasher cordset: 1. Is it easy to install? A piece of cake. 5 stars.2. The price of money? 5 Stars. Good price plus the convenience of free Prime shipping saves time.3. Durability? 5 Stars. Of course I'm assuming it's new, but there's nothing fragile about it. If you lay a dishwasher on its side, especially a used one, there is a high chance of water leakage. Very high. The volume may surprise you. The precautions are appropriate. In this case, the wooden floor was covered with a large sheet of plastic before the device toppled over. I hope this review is helpful. All the best.
