In fact they sounded much better than I expected. They pick up noise (from friction) through the tubes as they move (roughly). comfort rating. These in-ear headphones are probably comfortable for most people who usually wear these types of headphones. I can't even wear them at home. I have only found 1 pair of headphones that have ever been comfortable. And even other headphones of the same style or manufacturer (JVC) are uncomfortable to wear/use. Another reason they're uncomfortable is that I tend to wear them at night, probably again for style reasons - they definitely shouldn't be worn in any position other than on the back. (For obvious reasons) I wear them but can't stand them for long. It would be great if they were comfortable so I can use them as much as I want.
